Clearing the ground for the new pond!

Well here we go! We know what hard work is now!

Mick really did'nt have to go to the gym much this week,

pulling conifers and plum trees up with a ratchet strap isnt much fun!

Our greenhouse and coldframe had all been rehomed thanks to DDT!

During this demolition process we found quite a few newts in the garden!

Wow! we thought and they were all rehomed in a friends large eco pond.

Soon be time to decide how big the pond is going to be??

The new pond!

Well we moved in on July 21st 2006! What a fiasco?

I never knew we had accumalated so much stuff,

thank heavens for DDT for wanting my overspills!

The weather was glorious? but where do we put

the pond? The fish have been placed in a temporary

vat that we had to clear a space for in the garden,

as it is so overgrown.

We decided it would be nice

to put the pond at the back of the garage, so that

it would allow us to keep all the electrics inside out

of the way.

Only trouble was I now had a greenhouse, a coldframe

and a composter to shift, oh well onto DDT I went, It

soon went to a good home! Now for the trees, hubby

soon had this sorted, Apple trees, plum trees, conifers,

it was heartbreaking to see them pulled up, but the

garden was so overcrowded, and the trees were diseased

anyway.

My Family

Hi everybody, my name is Jan.

I am married to a wonderful man called Mick,

and we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on xmas eve.

He has been my life along with our three wonderful kids,

well more like adults now, they like to think they are anyway!!

We have 10 beautiful grandchildren that our brood have produced!

Gosh makes me feel really old! and like to add I dont think I am! lol

Well I work as a surgical staff Nurse at the local hospital,

and my husband drives a 360 JCB thingy, we are currently

renovating our newly purchased home, will upload images later,

Mick has been trying to organise the garden and build our wonderful

collection of Koi a new home, I hope they like it as much as their old one!

this has proved to be a bit of a pain in the butt for Mick as he had to

clear our garden first! The garden was full of trees and resembled

more of a jungle, than a village garden, I can remember hearing David

Bellamy in the undergrowth! Well a very good impression of one from

my brother-in-law. lol
